Know a good neighbor?

The Holden Democratic Town Committee is seeking nominations for the 21st Annual Holden Good Neighbor Award. The award honors citizens of the town who have made significant and/or long term contributions to the community through their volunteer activities. It is an opportunity for friends and neighbors to say thank you to people who have touched lives through what they have given.

If you would like to nominate someone for this year’s award, please contact Jane Arntz.

We have a winner

Our congratulations go to Mark Scheinfeldt on his election to the Holden Board of Selectmen. Scheinfeldt, completing the term of former selectman Kenneth O’Brien, will serve until the May 2017 town elections.

“I am completely humbled by the voters’ decision to elect me to the Board of Selectmen.” Scheinfeldt told the Landmark.  “It is a true honor and privilege to have another opportunity to serve this wonderful community that I am so proud to call home.”
