Here’s your chance to be in the 1%
Holden’s annual town meeting will be held on Monday, May 16 at 7 p.m. in the Wachusett Regional High School’s auditorium.
We need a quorum of 1% of Holden registered voters in order to do business.
The budget requests total 48 million dollars, so come and make your voices heard. We need your presence! We need your vote! Please plan to attend.

Worcester Area League of Women Voters forum on Citizens United
The Worcester Area League of Women Voters and the American Promise, You Can Do It are sponsoring an event featuring constitutional lawyer Jeff Clements speak about the Supreme Court decision known as “Citizens United.” This decision unleashed power corporate and individual money into our political process unlike any other time in our country’s history. Jeff Clements is the author of a work entitled “Corporations are Not People: Reclaiming Democracy from Big Money and Global Corporation.”
The event will be held on Wednesday, May 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the First Baptist Church (Gordon Hall) located at 111 Park Avenue in Worcester.
This is a free, non-partisan event. All are welcome.
